AFCAS - A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO BUIDLING BETTER COMMUNICATION - IN PLAYERS & TEAMS
This course provides a step-by-step guide to improving a player’s individual verbal communication and their ability to use body language to convey messages and instructions to team-mates. By developing these skills at an individual level, the overall communication and effectiveness of the entire team can also be significantly improved.
Focusing primarily on offensive communication when the team is in possession of the ball, this course explains how effective on-field communication can contribute to improved team performance and greater attacking success. Players will learn how clear, timely, and purposeful communication can help create passing options, support combination play, and improve decision-making during attacking situations.
Through a combination of practical theory, match and training ground video examples demonstrating effective communication, and structured training sessions specifically designed to develop communication skills, this course provides coaches and players with the tools needed to improve on-field interaction.
We have provided 45 coaching practices and games for you to use and adapt with your players, which you can download and keep.
Players will not only learn how to communicate, but also when to communicate and what information to provide. The course places strong emphasis on helping players read the game and recognise match situations correctly so that they can deliver the right information at the right moment, an essential component of successful communication in football.
By developing strong communication habits, players will also build greater self-confidence on the pitch. When players are able to express themselves clearly, provide information to team-mates, and understand the game situations around them, they become more assured in their decision-making and more comfortable taking responsibility within the team.
This course is designed not only to improve your players’ communication, but also to support you, the coach, in your own development. By understanding how to teach, encourage, and structure communication within your team, you will be better equipped to create a more connected, organised, and confident playing group.
